The Group unanimously agreed that Flora Villanueva shall be the over all chair person of all the activities that relates to Habitat for Humanity. Flora informed the Group that we are implicitly involved with Habitat for Humanity on both local and international levels, specifically the Philippines. The Group agreed to c ontribute and raise funds for the Philippines' cause, and provide voluntarty manpower to build homes locally in Indianapolis.

The discussion on how to involved other Filipinos to Habitat for Humanity resulted in approaching them as Filipinos that will be committed to our "bayanihan" cause and not based on affiliation to an organization. Flora sees this movement similar to individuals being involved in their church by volunteering and helping their church to accomplish its missions. She envisioned that we could help our "kababayan" in the Philippines by mustering our energy and working diligently together. She has reached a point to share her blessings to others especially in the Philippines.

The Group agreed to stage a "Pista Sa Nayon" or "Barrio Fiesta" Festival sometime in July as an intial fund raising campaign at a Park as proposed by Flora. Committees where formed to ensure success of the proposal. The formed committees may change on case by case basis depending on what goals we want to accomplish.

We may be involved with the Kid's Day on May 7, 2000 when confirmed by John Shawhan (Loaison person between the Filipino Community, Indianapolis life and the Indy 500 Committe). There is nothing definite for the Indy 500 Parade.

It was observed that the Group was very positive to accomplis our goals and opjectives to do something for the community through the Habitat for Humanity.
